I'm planning on doing a lot of experimentation on film photos to destroy and deface them to then apply the appearance of the images after deterioration to different ways that memories can be lost or altered.
I've been thinking about different ways to do this, along side talking to two other photography staff at college; Mike and Dave.
They've been very helpful and with my own ideas alongside advice from them I'm going to destroy the images using these methods:

On Exposure:
Double expose
Replace 120 film with 35mm
Cover parts of the lens & double expose
Expose the reel around the edged
Expose the reel around the edged
During Developing:
Don't put enough chemicals in
Don't use the reel
Develop colour film in black and white chemicals
Leave the chemicals on too long
Don't move/over move the developing tub
After Developed
Draw on/scratch into the negative
Cut out features from the film to create a manipulated image
On Enlargement
Overlap negatives
Stencil letters/write on the negatives
Scrunch up a full reel of negatives and put over the paper
Double expose the paper
block off parts of the paper and expose different images
Developing the Prints
Spray apply the developer
Write on using the developer
Apply developer to different parts of the photo at different times
Leave in chemicals too long/not long enough
After Enlargement
Apply Heat, Water &Acid (vinegar or stronger)
Leave out in the sun
Leave in the garden
Crumple and flatten
Scratch and draw onto
Put in humid conditions
